Adhesive Disc Seal
Special donut shaped Adhesive Disc Seal. This seal is a solid air tight rubber
or neoprene disc with adhesive on both sides. It is used to hold the
resin delivery device's base, the pedestal, in place during the repair operations.
This disc seal is only good for one repair, therefore additional seals are required for multiple repairs

Pedestal
The most common resin delivery device is a pedestal. It acts as a reservoir
to hold the resin in place as it is being delivered to the damaged area
being repaired. Some pedestals are good for multiple repairs as long as
a new adhesive disk is available to hold it in place.

Glass Repair Resin
These Resin Containers contain a low viscosity UV activated polymer resin.
The resin's curing process is activated by exposure to UV light from
the sun or UV lamp.
Although UV resins are most commonly used in windshield repairs, some kits
contain a two part resin that is mixed before using.

Push Pin
This is a standard pushpin found in most bulletin boards. It will be
used as a pointed tool to dig out and remove any loose pieces of glass from the damaged area.
|
Safty Razor Blade
A Safety Razor has several functions in the repair process. Its primary
function is to remove the pedestal once the rosin has been injected into
the damaged area. Its second function is as a squeegee to push air bubbles
out from under curing strips, and finally as a scraper to remove any cured
resin from the surface of the windshield.

Safety Razor Holder
You will find that a safety razor holder like this one is a big help when
using a safety razor for scraping operations. It also allows the blade
to be retracted for safety when not in use and makes the blade much easier
to keep up with.
